Welcome to our Fellowship
We are glad you are here. Since this is your first time to one of our services, we wanted to introduce you to a few things that we value that will be reflected in our service style. Feel free to participate or just observe. We encourage you to visit with one of our leaders after the service to ask any questions that you may have.
We value authenticity and integrity
Our desire is for people to be real, to be honest, and to come as they are while the Holy Spirit changes us all along the way. This authenticity will also be reflected in the messages shared, in the ministry received, and even in the way that people choose to dress--casually, more formally, or somewhere in between. We endeavor to be people wholly committed to God, established in His Word and living in the light of His truth.
We place a high value on freedom
We endeavor to cultivate an atmosphere of liberty in our services as the New Testament describes: “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Cor 3:17). As long as we are not purposely drawing attention to ourselves, we can express our worship in many ways, including raising hands, expressive music, dancing, shouting to the Lord, sometimes crying, kneeling in silence, painting, movement, children dancing and waving flags.
We value people
We value people. Every member of the body of Christ (including children) is a treasure with tremendous value, and can minister to others with the giftings of service he or she has been given. There is room and a place for all in God’s body to be actively engaged in their callings, both in and outside of the church.
We value creativity
Both the scriptures and creation reveal to us that our Father, the Creator, values creativity and has made everything unique. This also applies to our fellowship, where the service format will often change, speakers and worship leaders will alternate, and many new songs will be sung and unique sounds heard. We endeavor to honor the old, but also to follow the Holy Spirit into new realms of teaching, songs, revelation, prayer, healing, worship, demonstrations of power, and fellowship that He inspires.
We allow for mistakes
Our services will not be a well-oiled machine. Every child of God is a work in progress, and we endeavor to provide a safe environment for people to step out in their giftings, share testimonies, try new things, and minister to others under the oversight of the service leader.
We value laughter and fun
We were created as sons and daughters to enjoy our Father, not just obey Him. Seeing how wonderful God is will often result in a joy that spills over into our natural relationships and exuberant worship services.
We value relationships
Loving God and loving one another are of the highest importance (Matt. 22:37). Christianity is about relationship with God and one another. We emphasize the importance of getting to know one another, sharing life together, and serving both God and our neighbors.
